If I could earn a living doing what I love the most, I would want to be working in forensics. If I had my dream job, I would want to be a Medical Examiner, and be able to perform autopsies on homicide victims, and strange death cases. I would get to help solve crimes, give comfort to grieving families, and help put murderers in jail for a long time. In order to become a Medical Examiner, I have to go to medical school. This is a very daunting task, both trying to get in and also completing the rigorous classes and graduating in four years. I know that even if I don’t get into medical school, I can still help at a crime or forensics lab, and process evidence to find any prints or DNA of the murderer, but I don’t think I’d get to perform the autopsies. I would be happy working at a forensics lab, but helping do autopsies is what I really want to do. Even if I’m not the chief examiner in a case, helping would be awesome. As of right now, I want to become a Medical Examiner so I can help many people, in many different ways. This may not happen, majors can change over the course of four years, but I know I want to work in forensics, whether I’m doing autopsies, or cross-referencing DNA samples. I just want to help.
