What I love doing most is helping children reach their full potential and I hope to help more children by becoming a teacher. It is said that many teachers have been role models to students and have helped them make dreams a reality. I want to be like all the teachers that have impacted my life by impacting the lives of others. The first goal I accomplished on the way to making this dream a reality is being accepted to start classes at the University of the Incarnate Word. Another goal I have to reaching this dream is obtaining a Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics with a concentration in Secondary Education. The goal that will ultimately make this dream a reality is being hired as a teacher with IDEA Public Schools. IDEA was created to help children in underserved communities graduate and make it to college. IDEA schools are located in Central and South Texas. I attended IDEA for my entire high school career and the teachers at IDEA really care and help students. By teaching at IDEA I can help students make the dream of attending college a reality and to reach their full potential. I can’t wait to start teaching in order to make my dream a reality by making the dreams of others a reality.
