I want to do botany, either ethnobotany or some type of forestry. Both will benefit humanity and the earth. With ethnobotany, I could travel and learn about new plants that could possibly produce new cures or treatments for diseases, or new substitutes for things that are otherwise harmful to people. Natural drugs and remedies are slowly becoming a big thing, so I feel like this job would be incredibly beneficial. As a forester, I could become a ranger or a researcher, and help protect what small spots of nature we have left. Humanity doesn’t realize the affect they’re having on the planet, and therefore themselves. I feel like these two career paths will help me develop a deeper connection with the worlds around me, and then I can help others to do the same.
