To earn a living and to love what you do is a goal of many. I have had many different jobs or occupations that I could see myself doing in the future. Over time it has evolved from working at McDonalds, to grocery store cashier, to flight attendant, to FBI agent, to doctor and everything else in between. All of them, from the time that I put serious thought into it, contained one commonality. This was that they had to directly help people. I want to work outside of a cubical and make an impact on the world directly. I am going to school for criminal justice and plan to help victims that cannot help themselves. I will change the world one day at a time and earn a living in the process. In all honesty, it is a risky decision. I could play it safe earning a living in many other ways, but what is the fun of that? I want to love what I do and playing it safe might not be doing what I love. I desire the ability to go to bed every night knowing that I am doing my best to positively impact people’s lives. In turn I hope to be a catalyst in changing the world. So I am striving towards the chance protect people on the streets so that one day they will have the chance to earn a living doing what they love later down the road.
