When I was about four years old, a close friend entered my home with a puppy that she rescued from an abusive family. She told me that the puppy’s name was Tippy and that she was mine to keep. Tippy was the start of my love for animals. When I introduced a sister for Tippy, a sheltie-lab mix named Cassie, I knew from then on that I wanted to help animals. As my interest and knowledge in animals grew, so did my understanding of the bonds between a person and their pets. When Tippy eventually got weak and had to be put down, the decision was not met without tears. Tippy was not just some animal that walked around our house. This was a member of the family that lived with us for a good 11 years. This was a living, breathing being, not some household decoration. And as long as there are pet owners who know this fact completely, I wish to never let them down.
In order for me to accomplish this, I need your help. I am going to take many Animal Science-related courses and finish up any basic courses that I was unable to do in my previous college. With financial help in order, all that’s left is for me to perform. Once I succeed, I wish to move on into vet school and finally become a vet. I promise you that your help won’t be wasted! My fascination with animals and my curiosity of the performance of healing has not dwindled.
