I like to do a lot of things.

Most of them involve art. Since high school, I’ve loved to act, sing, write, draw…creating and performing are my two passions. And if there’s one career I want to go into, that’s filmmaking.

I’m majoring in computer science with a concentration in game design, but there’s a lot of film involved in creating games. I love watching movies and I’ve written four screenplays since the beginning of last summer. (Not that they’re good or anything, but I did it.) My dream would be to see at least one of those made into a film, and especially to be the director of that film.

I don’t want to be famous. Well, I do, but everyone does. The main drive behind my dreams of being a filmmaker is something I discovered when performing in my first show ever in high school. I love to see people smile and be entertained. There isn’t much that can top the feeling of knowing that all the hard work you put into something has paid off – not in money, not in approval from others, but in knowledge that, for the length of time they spent in the theater, people enjoyed themselves. They might not live a happy or exciting life, but for this brief moment, they found an escape.

I want to bring that to people. Everyone in the world deserves to enjoy themselves. I want to help the world along.

Because when they’re happy, so am I.
