If I could earn a living doing what I love most, I would be a Family Life Counselor for the members of our military and their families. Our military is the biggest and the best military in the world and the service member and their families are separated a majority of the time. This could be due to deployments, training, and much more. These families need help transitioning from deployment and I want to be the one that helps them transition smoothly. If all of the members of our military were taken care of and given the proper mental health and counseling services, I could possibly prevent thousands of suicides and mental breaks. If I can show people that we can take care of our military who protects our freedoms, then I can show the world that there will always be someone in their corner when they need it.
In order to make that dream come true, I need to continue with my Master’s degree to become a Psychologist. Currently, I am months away from graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Once I obtain my Master’s degree, I would like to start working as an FLC for the government while continuing my education by obtaining my Doctorate degree to become a Psychiatrist. I made the first step almost two years ago to continue my education and I have no doubt that I will succeed in furthering my education and becoming the support that I envision for our military.
