I believe everyone has the capability to achieve their dreams and do what they love. No matter how big the goal, taking one step at a time will allow you to reach it. I strive to become a head athletic trainer for a team in the National Basketball Association.

As a female, the role is typically played in Women NBA teams, but I would like a change. Women have excelled in many jobs that men had originally begun, so why not step up to this challenge as well? I have never had the intent on becoming a legend or “changing the world”, but if I were able to make my dream a reality, it would. Women athletic trainers all over the world would be empowered and inspired. There should be no limitations when you are passionate about helping others.

Aiming to be a head trainer for an NBA team, even as a male, is a challenging course that only the confident can survive. I want to show the association that I, a woman, can be as bold and willing to work just as a man would. I know that after I complete my education and several internships, I will obtain jobs that will act as my stepping stones. Networking will keep my name floating around the association, and my work in my other jobs will prove my abilities. I will face many times of falling from rejection, but they will notice each time I get back up to fight again.
