Every now and then you hear on the news that social security is falling apart or how people are being forced out of retirement because of lack of money. It’s sad that many people in our world have not even began to plan for one of the biggest parts of their lives, retirement. If I could earn a living doing anything that I wanted, I would help others plan for retirement.
I have always been interested in finance and loved budgeting my money. When I entered into college I was not sure what career path I wanted to take, but I knew I wanted to help people. I have personally seen family friends poorly budgeting their money and being forced to work in their later years since they have no money for retirement. I want to be able to reach out to as many people as I can so I can show them how to plan for retirement and how easy it is.
As a senior in college I am already searching the job market to see what skills I need to succeed in this position. I recently got accepted into a program at my university that will give me the skills and knowledge necessary to do what I want. I have even decided to leave my internship of two years in order to fully dedicate my time for my last year of school. I know that I cannot change and affect everyone, but I know I want to try.
