If I could do anything in the world, anything at all, it would be to care for elephants. I dream of owning a ranch and taking in rescued elephants from zoos and circuses everywhere. Elephants are my favorite animal, and people don’t realize that their intelligence and emotional capacity is greater than that of a humans. They don’t belong in captivity at all. In my ranch, I will allow them to roam free, and to interact and form families among each other. The issue with circuses and zoos is that elephants are confined to small spaces, with no other elephant interaction or stimulation. They are such beautiful, magnificent creatures, gentle giants if you must, and they are so alike to us. I’ve seen this video where two elephants were reunited after twenty years; they were in a circus together twenty years before, and they remembered each other. It was a happy reunion, and they were to live the rest of their lives the elephant sanctuary here in Tennessee. I have a vision for all of this. I would spread word about my ranch, and I will inform people, and in a way, it will change the world. It will change the way that humans view animals, and our connection with each other on this Earth. I believe that a person cannot fully be in touch with themselves until they have learned to understand Nature, and to become a part of it. Elephants are just like us. Only with trunks.
