The question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” is one of the hardest questions I have had to find the answer After three years of taking classes in variety of different subject the answer became clear, that I wanted to pursue a career as a math teacher.
A family motto helped me choose this path “Always give back when you can.” I don’t see any other career that could fulfill this saying then being a teacher. Each year you are giving students, the future generations, the tools to do something great. To me seeing kids learn something and think of where that can take them is amazing. I want to be part of that process of guiding the future.
In order for me to accomplish this dream I have to go to school and earn my Masters in Education. I know that this is path I want to take because I have tutored in math for five years and don’t plan to stop. Math is a subject that I flourish in explaining, something that not everyone can. I can take tutoring and being a substitute teacher once I earn my Bachelors will help me towards earning my Masters. This career path is something I can taste and cant wait to accomplish.
