“Those who work with eating disorder patients are the luckiest people in the world.” –Unknown
My dream is to be a professional counselor who works with eating disorder patients. Whether I work inpatient or on an outpatient basis does not matter to me, helping those who suffer from the deadliest psychiatrist illness is what matters to me. After I finish my undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia, I will pursue a degree in professional counseling hopefully at the University of Georgia. From there, I can work with these patients to overcome a fear and bad relationship with something they so desperately need: food. These patients are so misunderstood and I just want to be there as they learn to live again. I would be honored to work with a recovering eating disorder patient and I cannot wait to make my dream a reality.
