There’s a saying, “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life”. What I love to do most in the world is to run. My dream job would be becoming a professional track runner for USA.

Why would anyone like to run around an oval track for hundreds of people to watch in the heat, rain, cold, and snow? Because, when I run I feel natural. Getting to the track and seeing the competition and fans sets my heart racing. When it is time to run and I stand there waiting for the gun to go off, there is no thinking, my body switches to instinct and I just run. I feel all attention on me and the energy of the crowd as they scream and cheer on the runners pushes me to fight more. Getting to the finish line first is always a great feeling, but even finishing behind first but knowing I ran my best race makes the hours of pain and hard training all worth it. I do not see myself doing anything else with the rest of my life than running.

How this job would change the world, by influence. The biggest inspirations I have in my life are the current pros of the US. Watching the Olympics or my favorite runners, like Aries Merritt, set records makes me want to be there and leave my mark in the world. Having my name known by the world and accomplishing amazing goals that will have the generations after me dreaming the same one I do. I want to inspire people with what I do and people to remember my name with a legacy. I want to be that figure a kid looks to and decides that who they want to be.

There is no other job for me than to run. Using what I accomplish with that job to inspire people makes what I would do that much more special. Being a professional runner would be not only a dream job but a dream come true.
