My dream would be to be a voice actor. What many people do not realize is that early on, children are many times fixated on television shows because of the links they feel they have to the characters. Many shows I found throughout my childhood to this day have underlying themes that I feel have guided my aspirations and dreams because of the emotion and the skill the voice actor used to portray real world themes.
I feel that as a voice actor, a power exists to show children to stand against fear, learn to walk in the face of adversity and do everything in their power to succeed in life. If this type of message is portrayed to children, things like racism, violence, and hatred could be impacted greatly for coming generations. Children will want to learn more, bringing about a new era for philosophy, which could shape the world to understand one another instead of disagreeing without understanding and willingness to accept it.
One of the themes that led me through one of the most difficult points in my life came from a disappointingly unknown show to many people. A person’s dreams are not the only things that matter. A person has to realize that their goals have to also help society, or everything they want will fall to pieces before them. The pen is mightier than the sword… would that mean that a voice saying those words is the hero of a war ending misunderstanding and violence?
