If I could make a living off of writing, I would. Writing was an outlet for me while growing up. Writing has the power to change the world. I want to give people with harder lives than mine a chance to escape from reality for a little while by reading a good book. Looking back on history, you can see a plethora of occasions in which writing incited change, with the Declaration of Independence, to name one. In order to achieve this goal, I would need to seriously consider publishing my writings. I would have to be able to accept rejection if a publishing house does not want to take a risk on me. I need to become willing to allow others to see my writings. I am not willing to let people read what I write. I view my writings as a window into my mind and soul. I have a desire to share these thoughts with the world. I plan to continue writing while I finish my degree and hopefully be able to look into sharing my thoughts with the rest of the world.
