I am majoring in Bioinformatics. From this major I am pursuing a career in researching DNA. I love to know how the human body works and the root of knowing how it works lies in DNA. I find it fascinating to see the “instructions” of how a specific human body works. From the information we look at in DNA we can see everything about a person ranging from eye color to physical limitations. When DNA is read in the body it makes certain cells to do certain things. From these “instructions” we can then work to overcome anything wrong with them. An example would be a physical limitation that a person was born with. If scientists could look at the DNA and find the problem with the set of “instructions” then they could fix the problem! I wish to help correct problems and help others in their lives so that they can live their life to the best they can. You can see how this career would change the world! There is more to be researched and found dealing with our DNA in the future, and that is why I want to pursue this career. I am already working towards this dream. I am currently enrolled in school and I am on course with completing my degree in 2017. I wish to further my education by earning a PHD after my major. I have much schooling ahead, and any help with financing my education would be much appreciated.
