When I was ten, my grandmother taught me the the art of knitting. Soon after I taught myself to crochet, and later a dear friend taught me to sew. I can’t remember a day or week going by since where I haven’t been working on some new project. I feel blessed to have been given this passion and skill, and I want to use this talent to the best of my ability. I want to better myself in every single aspect of creativity. I would love to learn to sew by hand, to design dresses and other apparel that I envision. I want to attend a nearby community college called the College of DuPage where they offer an associate degree in the Fashion and Design field. After I have graduated, I want to make all sorts of women’s clothing, especially such that are made from recycled material so women who don’t have a lot of money can still afford some fashionable and well made apparel.
