I love to write!
Words can be beautiful works of timeless art. They can do so much to change the hearts and minds of those exposed to their influence, especially when they are composed by a skilled, competent artist. They can be powerful, and at the same time, subtle. They can bring floods of emotion, or conversely, soothe agitated hearts. Words are, in my experience, perhaps the greatest power in the known universe, and should never be taken lightly.
I would utilize the written word, through the art of fictional stories, to influence my readers, to stimulate their minds in an environment of intrigue and excitement, of magic and mystery. These works will involve diverse characters, unique settings, and creative situations. I plan to write several sets of stories, both epic and intense, and to lace each with philosophical morals and values that interest our world today.
My plans are to make a name for myself as a writer by earning a degree and becoming a regular contributor to a wide-spread news organization. During and after, I will be writing stories and poetry for mass publication. Ultimately, I hope to write fictional novels full time. I will challenge the mainstream, offer alternative viewpoints, and question tradition, and I will do so with diplomatic eloquence, in the hopes that my readers will feel uplifted and enlightened. I feel that if I have inspired even one mind to think a little more openly, then a great victory will have been won.
