My goals would be to counsel the younger generation and enhance them in the importance of staying to school and furthering their education by attending college after their high school graduation. I am much older than a lot of my peers in class I was born middle 50s, I was a single parent raising four sons. Getting my school in the early 70s and never returned until 2009/10. My journey was not an easy one, yet I am still striving to make it in society. My sons are all grown now and have children of their own. They have jobs and are doing well although they don’t the city that I do, but we communicate as much as possible. I’m a full-time student at CSU majoring in business administration, is my third year and my plants to someday open my own business. In doing so my plans are to leave my business with my children and grandchildren. Due to the struggles that me and my sons endured I believe that my goals are to get my bachelor’s degree, and open my own business someday in which to leave the business to my sons in which as time goes on, they will be able to pass business on to their children. Nothing comes easy life and I believe that they are more blessings to come. Going back to school, get my GED was one of the greatest accomplishments I have ever achieved. My oldest son was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. This was major setback from my classes and studies, yet I still held on. I have come so far and I presently have 100 credits although I need 120 two received my bachelor’s degree. I refuse to let anything stop me, because this is only the beginning of my journey.
