Throughout life many of our goals change. Typically when we are young they dream of being super-hero’s or doctors. When I was a child I wanted something completely different, I wanted to become a programmer, or do something pertaining to video games. Since childhood, this has been my love, but as I have gotten older I shifted from wanting to program video games, to a larger focus on how I can help people who have disabilities enjoy technology more. My Family is littered with many disabilities, so I have seen how some people can struggle with it first hand. By combining my love for programming and the desire to help anybody with a disability, I want to find a way to integrate blue-tooth that sync to smart-phones into hearing aids to better help people with hearing disabilities not only hear music and sound from videos easier, but give these people a better chance to get online schooling. For the people who use these, their entire world will be changed. . To make this dream a reality I have already started taking small steps towards my larger goal. Currently I am enrolled at Central Michigan University (CMU) and am majoring in computer science to learn the programming aspect of it. Then as soon as I graduate from my university I want to find a job that will let me work for people that develop apps for disabled individuals and eventually get the company to fund this idea to make it happen.
