In the delicate words of Eleanor Roosevelt, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” The career I hope to pursue is Interior design. I could assemble beautiful, calm, crazy or maybe even intentionally rustic spaces which will benefit someone who will then go on to make memories in my creations. I will accomplish this goal by attending college, taking the required courses in order to successfully gain a career in this field, and obtaining my diploma. I will also thoroughly research all aspects of this career to make sure I am fully prepared for when I will have to make this dream a reality. With hard work and dedication I can turn someone’s dismal bedroom into an extraordinary oasis where they will drink their morning coffee or sleep next to their loved one and dream of waking up and experiencing their new abode all over again. I could design a hotel room where newly weds will reside and all thoughts of their hectic lives will drift away because the satin sheets are too heavenly to possibly be thinking about anything else. These may seem like small moments in time, but the reality is that society is not singular. Every person contributes to the world as a whole and if I can make even just one family happy because their home is more than they ever dreamed of then I can sleep at night knowing I am changing the world, one pattern at a time.
