For a long time, I’ve wanted to be an author. Writing is my passion, and reading books as a child has always given me hope for the future. Like so many other people in this generation, the last, and the next, I was bullied as a kid; reading about heroes and heroines made me feel as though I could be somebody if I tried hard enough. If I could earn a living by writing those sorts of books for children, no, for people of all ages, I would have no regrets. There are so many ways to teach, and I believe that reading is one of the most fundemental ways to do so. One would be surprised at how many of an author’s ideals and morals make it into creative works. That’s why I want to use it as a method for teaching. Reading is fun and it broadens a person’s horizons. One cannot see the “big picture” where they are; by reading even if they lack the necessary funds to travel, readers can see parts of the world they never thought possible.
