Books are living. Every book can provide knowledge, something added to our thoughts that cannot be taken away. With each topic chosen to read about can affect the world through the eyes of the learner; books allow individuals to learn for themselves. That is the blessing of reading. Reading can change the world, by expanding thoughts, creativity and wisdom. Henry David Thoreau said, “It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.” Through reading new aspirations can be seen. Inspiring people to read can change perspectives, attitudes and dreams. Reading creates the ambition to hope for and aspire for more from one’s self. It forces the mind to think, to challenge, and to expand. If more people read, on a personal level, people would know themselves better, their morals, standards and attributes they want to emulate in their own lives. Reading would change the world for the better. To make reading for everyone a reality, first people have to be allowed to choose what they are interested in to read about. Reading allows the reader to find their thoughts expressed by others. Once an interest is chosen, reading contagiously keeps continuing from one topic to another. To change the world through reading, it has to be assessable, made enticing, and learned as a benefit for each individual. There are endless possibilities to read and learn about. Books can make people powerful.
