Graduating from a top 25 law school would be step 1. I would pay off any debt that I have accumulated over the years, and then help my family with their respective financial situations. This is of course contingent upon my employment as a successful lawyer. I then plan on becoming a loving husband and father who will pay for his kid’s college expenses. When the time is right I would love to open up my own law firm. After achieving this I plan on tackling the issue of student debt and rising costs of tuition. I want to make college accessible for every student regardless of their financial situation. Growing up in a Hispanic background I am aware of issues that immigrants face when coming to a new country. It is unfair that a smart, educated, hardworking individual cannot attend the university of his or her choice based on the fact that they were not born in this country and thus are unable to receive financial aid from the government. To be clear, I am not addressing the illegal immigration issue. I am currently taking out loans for my college expenses for which I have no problem, but only because I have not racked up a ridiculous amount. Student debt along with rising cost of tuition is making it increasingly troublesome for young, bright students to attend college. I plan on sending these individuals to college so they may one day change the world more than I ever could.
