Have you ever watched a movie and wondered how someone thought of something so creatively wired towards you? I want to be that person, the one that’s in a career that changes lives. If you ask someone where they got their idea of love, the majority would say movies. Or what made them have a different perspective towards an illness; it would also be movies. Film shines a light on situations in ways you could never imagine. Though I don’t want to be the person that directs everyone, I want to be the one that makes everyone look good, a film editor.
Everything in post-production is so intriguing to me. You can start off with scenes that are poorly filmed and end up with perfection. So much confidence is in the editors to make the films look good and it’s fascinating.
In order to get the right kind of education and training for what I want to do, I have to go to college. Every single class that I can take to help me improve in my abilities to impact people through film, like psychology, film classes, and sociology, is what’s going to make a difference. Once you understand the human brain and how society impacts people, it becomes much easier to affect people’s lives for the better.
Whether you love watching films or making them, they change lives. I want to be a person that changes someone’s life for the better and I won’t let anyone stop me.
