When I was a kid, my answer would be simple. I’d be Batman! But, as time progresses, our minds mature and we begin to realize what our true passions are, what we are good at and what truly makes us joyful. For me, this answer reveals itself gradually everyday in the form of performance. However, you may be asking yourself, “How could that possibly change the world?” Well, first lets explore what “changing the world” is actually defined as. To me, changing the world is simply changing at least ONE life, inspiring just ONE life so profoundly, that they become someone they never would have became without you. Some people think changing the world is becoming famous, and sharing your life with as many people as possible. This can change the world, but is that the kind of change that will honestly change for the better, or just…change. My biggest inspiration stems from a man named Tyler Joseph, lead singer of the band 21 pilots. In an interview he talked of the difference between joy and happiness, saying, “When you find joy, you find peace, and when you find peace, you have found something to believe in”. Everyday is another chance to enhance joy, to seek it out, and that joy becomes your own which cannot be taken away or copied by anyone. So, I would write music, and wish to change someone’s world, so that they could then change the world again, one person at a time.
