If you asked me what I loved doing the most ten years ago, I would have told you that it was something like bike riding or watching movies. But, I was also eight years old and my mind had not yet grasped what it was that I really loved to do in life. Now that I am eighteen and can make most major decisions on my own, I finally figured out what it was that I loved to do the most. I love to write. Not just any old writing, I like to write puns and play on words, so naturally, greeting cards are one of my favorite things. I love writing hypothetical greeting cards that I can save in my repertoire for when I work for Hallmark. Most people just throw away the cards they get with their gifts, but sometimes, a card can touch someone’s heart in just the right way that it brightens their day. I want to be someone who can inspire others through something as simple as a greeting card. Graduating from UCF with a creative writing degree will give me just the edge to start my career in this industry and be on my way to changing one family holiday gathering through a greeting card.
