A picture is as unique as each one of us. When you take a picture, you are capturing a moment in time that no other person can replicate. That original picture can not be taken again. You can’t set up the same lighting, angle, or emotion as you did in the initial picture. Photography has become an everyday hobby for me, but I know that it can become more than that, it can change the world. Through capturing moments in time, you can showcase things like hungry children, homeless animals, or even joyful moments to bring others a wave of happiness. If I could earn a living through photography, I would want to travel the world to places that are overlooked and showcase their beauty as well as their needs. This would not only allow others to see amazing places but also see the faces of those that need help. In order to make my dream a reality, I will need some sort of education. Although I am currently not attending school for photography, I believe that through my current major, it will give me opportunities to travel and along the way, I will be able to take pictures that will one day change the world, or at least one person’s world. Through this scholarship, I will be able to continue attending the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and be on the right track for making a difference in the world.
