My dream is to study to be a Counseling Psychologist and become a Couple’s Therapist/Marriage Counselor. I want to work my hardest to help people rebuild and improve their communication skills, trust, and their honesty, and relearn to continue loving their significant other unconditionally. I want to make my own dent in the growing divorce rates. I want to test new methods and ideas of counseling and therapy by using more hands on activities that can better teach and help more varieties of couples. By putting together the knowledge I will gain through my 6+ years of schooling, and my own personality, I hope to be a new kind of counselor. A counselor that will really get couples thinking and at the same time have fun. I believe the little moments where you are laughing and forgetting about the problems is a great way to make them willing to change. It is when you see the other at ease and happy that you miss those times and you are willing to do anything to get back to that. That is when I will crack down to the issues. Talk to them separately at a place where they can be at ease and open up. Then I will bring them together and discuss. Let them argue with me there to mediate. Then work it out. Teach them new skills on how to handle bad situations. I want to change the world one couple at a time.
