Ever since I was in third grade, I have always dreamed of becoming an animator. I grew up watching Disney and Pixar movies and envied the people who had the opportunity to make these ideas come to life. I knew I had to be one of them and aspired to be an animator for Pixar. I have spent every day since then doodling on papers in school, filling up sketchbook after sketchbook with designs for characters, taking every art class I could in both grade school and high school. Going into high school, I realized that animation had moved towards 3d animation and started setting my sights that way. Freshman year, I took a computer animation class. Senior year, I took the advanced class and even installed the animation software onto my computer so I could start practicing at home and began modeling characters. At this point, I enjoy creating characters more than anything else and am thinking about shifting my focus to primarily character design, still working for Pixar of course. I am currently enrolled in Academy of Art University, where I will be taking online classes for the first year starting in September. My dream is and always has been working for Pixar and so far, I am on the right track to get there. I hope to inspire to a new generation to bring their own worlds to life and to follow their dreams just as I will be.
