Like the pinnacle goals and achievements of world renowned inventor and scientist Nikola Tesla, I want to expand this worlds uses of energy in its best of forms: electricity. Nikola Tesla was the inventor of the alternating current and holder of many US patents. Tesla challenged the uses of energy of his day and won the War of Currents against Thomas Edison. Tesla is an excellent role model for not only me but all those pursuing science. Like the many giants who have come before us, I want to pursue science and technology. What I love most is the fine line between design and the mathematical application of physics, or in more colloquial terms, engineering. If I can achieve my goals in education, I’d try to change the uses of energy across the country. To move away from coal driven machines and rid our world of dirty energy, fuel accidents, and irreversible environmental damage. I want to let all of our future applications in electricity come from clean fuel sources such as solar power, wind turbines, and nuclear energy. There is great wonder in our world that has yet to be tapped. As our technology increases we, as a society, must work toward the changes to become a clean and more sustainable world. And at that time, I want to be at the vanguard of the scientific research.
