My ideal job to earn a living would be to work with collegiate athletes at the division l, ll, or lll level. I’m currently in a coordinated Dietetics internship at Buffalo State College. I’ve shadowed 8 professionals form the dietetics field and 3 from the strength and conditioning field. I interned with Buffalo State strength coach Nate Young who has been a true inspiration for me to shoot for my dreams and has motivated me to go for my masters in exercise science. Being a former collegiate athlete myself, my main goal in getting my degree in dietetics and exercise science is to give back to my fellow athletes.
I want to be able to teach them about proper nutrition to fuel their bodies during their sports events. I want to be able to properly train them how to exercise to excel to meet all their goals. The most important thing I’d like to be is a role model for the young people coming into college. I feel that a lot of the student athletes have no idea the stress that comes with taking classes, training, games, tests and peer pressure. If I could reach out to a couple and keep them on the right track and make them into model citizens in society to help others like I do then that would be my biggest accomplishment.

I appreciate you looking at my essay. It’s an honor to be considered for your scholarship
