If I could earn a living doing what I love most it would be for me to be a midwife. I am a mother of three and the experience I had delivering them was remarkable. I had such a great experience with my doctor and nurses: it made the moments so extraordinary. Delivering a baby can be a scary time, but because of my doctor and nurses they helped make it special.

In June 2014 I had the chance to help a friend deliver her baby. I helped encourage her and motivate her; it is a moment I will never forget. It solidified my decision to go back to school to help other women too.

By being a midwife and helping other women I think I would be helping to change the world because I would be easing women’s minds while delivering our future. Women are amazing. We grow little humans within us and we have the pleasure of delivering them, which can be scary and traumatic, but I am confident that I would make a great midwife and I could help these women through those moments.

I have thought about my goals to reach my dream and my first step is to take all my pre requirements for the nursing program and then apply to nursing. My end result is to get my Masters of Science in Nursing with the focus of Midwifery.
