I grew up looking at buildings of all sorts from modern to contemporary and I’ve been fascinated with them ever since. I’ve been studying to become a civil engineer and it has been a challenge yet filled with wonderful experiences. I was able to become a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and was given the opportunity to be Vice President and Captain of the Steel Bridge Team.
A civil engineer has a tremendous effect on the world from the roof that you live under to the roads that you drive. I wish to be a part of that and hope to build the next generation of roads and buildings that are efficient. The roads and buildings that I wish to design are low cost, maintenance, and emit low emissions which is better for the environment. The future of civil engineering I idolize, will improve the efficiency of transportation making faster and living even safer.
As I am young i wish to further educate myself in transportation and structural engineering. I would like to shadow someone who has greater experience and knowledge that can teach me things i wouldn’t be able to learn on my own. Lastly i’d like to work with a company who shares the same ideals as myself to build a greater future that is faster, safer, and cleaner for the world.
