“The average dog is nicer than the average human.” This quote said by Andrew Rooney is one reason why I want to pursue my dream to become a veterinarian. I would like to call myself an animal-lover rather than a people person. Ever since I was a child I was deeply interested in animals. My determination started when I was about nine years old and I got my first dog. His name was Buddy and was like a best friend to me. Shortly after having him, he suddenly died. I had no idea how it happened but I was extremely saddened by this event. I promised myself that when I grew up I would become a veterinarian so I could save animals in need like Buddy.
As a young girl, I would always try to rescue stray dogs and cats whenever I saw them because I felt I could help them. I want to pursue this aspiration of mine because I believe I am capable of helping animals in need. Animals are God’s creation and should be treated with care and value. I am making my dreams become a reality because I am currently studying Biology in school. After I achieve my degree in Biology, I will be on the road to success by becoming a DVM. In my eyes, veterinarians can change the world!
