What I love most and what I am extremely passionate about are horses; mainly the horses that are neglected, abandoned, abused, and unwanted. My life goal is to open my own string of equine rescues across the country so my miserable equine friends can be given a second chance at a great life. I plan to call it OREO; the Overlooked Regal Equine Operation. Every horse has a certain beauty to it, but it takes a special person to see that beauty, which is why I feel a lot of horses are being neglected unnecessarily. Ever since the ban and closing of Equine Slaughter Houses in 2007, the numbers of these horses have increased dramatically. It’s my dream that my rescues will put an end to that and make the number of abused, neglected, abandoned, and unwanted horses in the US as close to 0 as possible. My goal with these horses is to take them as far as they’re willing to go, be it competition, kid’s first pony, or just a loveable pet and companion for another horse. I pray someday I will make this dream a reality, and give all the equines in this country a second chance at a happy, beautiful, and love filled life.
