If I could earn a living doing what I loved the most, it would be what I’m starting school for right now. I want to be an RN. I have always been a smart, friendly person who is very caring, and I want to make my life make a difference. Working at Walmart like I’m doing now, it doesn’t affect people in the long run, but it does pay the bills. Being a nurse on the other hand, that affects peoples’ lives every day. I wanted to be a nurse before I had my son in January, but Becky, the nurse I had before, during and after delivery was amazing and she inspired me all over again to go for it.
Not only would my whole world change if and when I become a nurse, but I know that if I can be as amazing as Becky, I can make a difference in my patients’ lives. A little bit of kindness and understanding goes a long way, in my opinion. A lot of people dread hospital visits, and they aren’t looking for lectures when they go to the doctor or the hospital, so my focus is making them as comfortable in the visit as possible. That is why the job title is “nursing”. I don’t want to be a nurse; I want to be an amazing nurse.
