If I could earn a living doing what I love most. I’d be an international advocate and trip planner for those with physical and developmental needs. Having worked in the field of Human Services for a few years, I know that a voice is always needed for those with no voice. I’d travel the US and abroad to learn how each state assists in enhancing the lives of those individuals, offering up my own advice, help and sharing my experiences and bringing back the knowledge of what I’ve learned to the individuals that I work with. Often in the Human Services field, the needs and wants of those with mental and developmental disabilities, aren’t taken serious and they are stuck in the same everyday routines with little to no enjoyment in life. I can only hope to help those that I encounter with attaining a value of life. A lot of agencies are usually understaffed and underfunded; also those individuals living at home, the parents or guardians may not have the time, help or funding to do fun things. Opening a Non- Profit Company that caters mainly to taking them on fun trips out of the state and country, on vacations and sightseeing could mean the world to them. Something that the average person takes for granted!
