If I could earn a living doing what I love the most, I would have my own business as a psychology counselor for adolescents. I want to make a difference in the lives of young adults who struggle to get through each day. Every kid deserves to be happy, but unfortunately many teens are not happy. They have to deal with more than just the pressure of everyday life. I know from experience that sometimes the kids who seem the happiest may not be happy at all. I had a cousin, who was always cheerful and outgoing, commit suicide recently. It broke my heart and made me realize how much I wanted to help kids who feel the same way he felt. I want to be the person that lets people know they have some one who cares about them and help them see their lives are important. My work might not change the whole world, but I will be happy if I can change even just one person’s world for the better. I want to start out by finishing four years at the University of Connecticut. After that I want to go on to grad school and get my master’s degree. Once I do that I will find a start up job in a therapist office. Hopefully after a few years of working there I can have the money and experience to start up my own therapist office. I will work hard each day to achieve this dream.
