A job and a career have nothing on a passion. Every day someone drops an unloved animal off on the side of the road to die. Some of them experience abuse, some are missing limbs, and some are borderline skin and bones having only experienced pain every single day of their life. They have never felt love, never been fed a good meal, and were never given a chance to live a good life. I want to end that. If I could do anything in life and be paid, it would be to open an extensive animal shelter. Not just for cats and dogs, but for every single animal to come through my door. The money would be invested back into the shelter and the volunteers who make sure these animals receive every ounce of love they deserve. I have walked into shelters and literally burst into tears (it’s hard to make me cry, trust me) because every animal is stuck in a small cage for hours a day. It’s more humane than being beaten, but they are still stuck in a claustrophobic cage. I want to have an expansive place for them to run and be cage free, and find homes where I KNOW they will be safe, not just given away to someone who can pay an adoption fee. This passion is not about changing the world, it’s about changing a life and it is only when you change a life, that you can truly change the world.
