If only doing what you love and what you do to make a living were always intertwined. In reality, the relationship between these two ideas can often be disconnected. In fact, the simple idea of pursuing what you love can be foreign to us even after graduating college. We as a society are overrun with the priority of what will make money, or what will make us successful. In my eyes, success, no matter how validated by others, cannot be achieved without a passion for what you do. Through college and now approaching my MBA, I have thought about where I see myself being both successful and passionate. I discovered that a career in marketing is something I find stimulating and something I excel at. My true passion is a career in technology and marketing.
I am a Specialist at an Apple store in Silicon Valley. My dream is to work for Apple Corporate in their marketing department. My goal is to put my passion for innovation toward bringing great products to the market, as well as to present groundbreaking technology. Advancements in technology not only set a standard for future innovation, but also change the way people live their lives. Through proper marketing, technology is made relevant to the public. Marketing to me is the psychology of business, which is what I love. A career in marketing is where I believe I can put forth my passion, and where I can combine what I love with how I live.
