A life without goals is no life at all. This philosophy has become ingrained in me and has given me the direction with how I live life and address issues. As I compare my current skills to the goals I have set for my future of becoming a very successful nurse, I see that it is important for me to capitalize on every opportunity I am given to achieve success. Becoming successful won’t happen overnight, but I believe that a strong foundation for success can happen over a term of four years at college.
Throughout my life I have been told that I am a compassionate person and have a natural ability to care for others. This part of my character is one of the factors that contributes towards my happiness and is also the reason I have chosen to seek a career in the field of nursing. I believe my compassion, patience and dedication will help me become a well rounded nurse. Furthering my education and becoming a successful nurse will not only be beneficial for me, but also those I work with in the future. As I step forward into the next chapter of my life at Florida Atlantic University, I am faced with the burden of financing my college career. Although I have applied for loans and grants, without additional money from scholarships I will be unable to attend college. If selected for this scholarship, I would be forever thankful.
