As a little girl, I loved animals and wanted to be a veterinarian, but as I have grown up, people have become my passion. I find purpose and meaning in putting a smile on another person’s face whether it be through a kind gesture, a joke, or simply having a conversation with an individual. I know these goals sound menial, but to somebody who feels like nobody cares, it means the world. Now that you know that helping people is what I love most, you want to know how that will change the world. It’s quite simple really. By offering a helping hand to an individual in need, I am showing them the golden rule in action. Compassion and love goes a long way especially for somebody who is need of care. From there, the people I touch through my help/care are able to help others and show more compassion and love. Just think how the world would change if every single person showed compassion and love for every person they met. The world has countless people helping others right at this very second, but the world still has war, famine, thievery, and disease. Those bad things can be obliterated though by each and every one of us caring for one another like we would like to be cared for, and the world has got to start somewhere. Why not start with me?
