It wasn’t too long ago a small envelope with a glossy emblem helped me to decide my future career. Within that envelope are informational packets for several different week-long educational trips throughout the United States. Having a penchant for adventure and learning, I enrolled into one of those programs.
I am extremely thankful for the People to People Ambassador Programs for making me realize my interests in medicine and for teaching me so much in just a single week. The one thing I would love the most in life is to become a doctor who puts her patients first and tries to better the health of those around her. Through my work, I would like to help build a healthier community and world.
Becoming a doctor isn’t something one can accomplish in a few years; it is going to take many years of education and experience. Thus, my goals are to first complete my undergraduate studies in four years, and then continue my education at a medical school afterwards. Lastly, I hope to work in a hospital where I will be able to use the many years of knowledge that I acquired to assist those who needed medical help. I know this journey will not be easy but it’s not improbable, and the success of many past and current physicians is a genuine proof of this. The one thing for sure I can say now is that I am already walking on this journey.
