It’s hard to put my finger on one thing I love to do most; however, if I could do anything and earn a living for it, I think I would definitely choose to be a freelancer in graphic design. I love the idea of not always knowing exactly what I’ll be doing day after day. Depending on the extent of my work, I’d say that there are a few opportunities at making the world better. It would be really neat to design something that changes the way people think about design, for example, a new way to create (technologically speaking) or even a new form of design (whatever that would look like—the possibilities are literally endless.) Honestly, I think continuing to develop my own style artistically would be the first checkpoint, or goal, I would need to hit before progressing any further. Whilst developing my own style, I could be job-shadowing people to see what kinds of things are officially involved not only in graphic design, but also in freelancing. Lastly, I would need to look more into and learn how to use the different kinds of technology involved in graphic design and look into all the little niches and facets there are to the broad spectrum of graphic design. Overall, the idea freelancing in graphic design just sounds so fun and inspiring—and I’d be earning money doing it.
