I have a love and passion for food. One of the earliest memories that I have was a family reunion that had mounds upon mounds of food. Today, I attend culinary school, to help hone my skills, as well as learn classical techniques that would help refine my craft. I am working towards making a living as an exquisite executive chef, who utilizes the influence of local, fresh foods that are not only good for you, but also seasonal and delightful.
I want to own my own establishment, preferably a food truck. I want to be able to travel through my beautiful state of California and share my insights of what good food is to the rest of the state. I want to encourage other students and adults like myself not to give up on their dreams. I have had numerous hardships: paying for my own tuition, supporting myself, and acquiring all the necessities to live in today’s world. When I am able to in the future, I want to be able to start a fund or create a scholarship for those determined, motivated minds that need help in order to get to their own academic goals.
Most importantly, I want to educate people on food, the health benefits, and the importance of local and seasonal food and how people can come together as one through a good, hearty meal. A full stomach makes a happy soul, which makes a peaceful person and a better world.
