The most captivating career I’ve ever come across is one that I’ve sort of been preparing for my whole life. That is, a video game designer. Not necessarily the programming part, but the artsy side instead. I think I would like being a character artist the most and a background designer the least. I’ve never been particularly good at backgrounds, but I’m trying to work on that, too.
I’ve played video games and drawn almost my entire life. It’s become a part of me. I think I could change the world by helping create works of playable art. Someday, I want to make the most amazing game the world has ever witnessed. That’s my dream. So every day, I try to better my art.
I’ve played many RPG Maker games on the computer, and those are some of the best, in my opinion. I want someday be able to buy RPG Maker and make my own games in that. I would really like to focus on psychological horror games, or just plain horror. I’d even try to learn programming if it meant I could fulfill my dream.
Of course, working at a major game company would be cool, but I understand I have to start small. Ultimately, I’d love to be able to earn a degree in game art and design. The willingness to work hard and maybe even with a group flows through my veins in pixel-y magnificence. Graduating from college would be amazing.
