People want to do what they love most as a career. Some want to use that career to change the world. Knowing that your career can change the world and help others can make a job even more rewarding. I know that I would want a career to help change the world for the better. With that in mind, I want to be a climatologist.
Climatology is in great demand in the public and private sectors. Many people in other walks of life depend on climatology data for their professions. Farmers, construction, industry, and other professions depend upon knowing what the climate and conditions of an area are going to be in order to do their work. In addition, with the threat of climate change looming as an ever-increasing problem, people are going to depend on that kind of information to keep them safe and in the know.
Climatology is a profession that can help a number of people in the long run. When the climate or weather of an area starts to turn for the worst, or natural disaster needs to be averted, it is the job of climatologists to report that information and put it to practical use. Without climatology to provide us with accurate information on our local and global climates, the human race would be at the mercy of whatever nature throws at it and would be able to do very little about it. That’s why I believe climatology can change the world for the better.
