If I could make a living off of what I loved doing the most, I would work for a charity or non-profit organization in West Africa. My father is a West African native and I have many family members there. I know that their living conditions are much more harsh and scarce than mine. If I could dedicate my career to giving back and providing food, shelter and education to them, I would. I see so many people take things for granted such as a glass of water or a high school math class that it drives me to want to give to those who don’t have access to such things; I know that the thirsty and uneducated would appreciate such things. Homelessness and ravenousness are the biggest two world problems that I often think about. Giving a community what they need to survive would change their lives in the most positive way. I hope to instill a feeling of comfort and hopefulness to the people I help. To pursue my goal, I would study abroad every chance given to countries that suffer from poverty and try to give back to their communities. Mission trips and internships with organizations that were solely created to help those in need would be another way of making my dream come true. Working for charity is not a common dream job, but helping others would be worth every paycheck I receive.
