If I could earn a living doing what I love most I would travel the world. I would learn from different cultures, visit with their people and try to understand what makes them different from myself. To be honest there is little chance that I or anyone else can change the world in any significant manner alone. To change the world requires collaboration with people you disagree with, it requires understanding of concepts that are foreign to you, and it requires people working together towards a common goal. I would learn to collaborate and work with people who are different from me so that we may find agreement on how best to change the world.
When one considers the people who changed the world during the 20th century names such as Bill Gates, Nelson Mandela, Princess Diana of Wales, Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi, and others come to mind. These individuals did not achieve their desire to change the world by themselves; they worked tirelessly with help from people of all types to find solutions to global issues such as fighting poverty or food crises. The unfortunate truth is that the individuals who change the world on their own tend to do so with evil intentions in mind. Individuals like Hitler, Stalin, and the Kim Dynasty in North Korea use(d) the people around them to achieve their selfish goals. It takes a group of people working together, not an individual, to provide a path to changing the world for the better.
